Community Platform

Membership administration for community and mutual aid organisations. Who is a member, who they nominated, what they have contributed, and what assistance has been requested, all in one record instead of four notebooks.

Why it exists

Community organisations run on trust and records

Trust is the part you build yourselves. Records are the part that usually falls apart, and it is the part that members ask about when something goes wrong.

Membership that is actually current

One place that says whether a member is active, when their status took effect, and who updated it. No reconciling a list against a receipt book.

Beneficiaries recorded properly

Nominated beneficiaries are held on the member record with checks that stop the same person being listed under two members at once.

Assistance you can trace

Requests move through defined steps with documents attached and approvals recorded, so the officers can show exactly how a decision was reached.

What is inside

Three ways in, one set of records

Member portal

Members sign in to see their own status, their beneficiaries, their contribution history and any announcements, without needing to ask an officer.

Mobile app

An installable app for members who live on a phone, with the same records and notifications underneath.

Admin console

Officers manage members, groups, beneficiaries, contributions and assistance requests, with roles limiting who can approve or edit what.

Groups

Organisations that enrol through an employer, church or association get their own group, with their own coordinator view and their own arrangements.

Announcements and a moderated wall

Post notices to members, and let members post to a community wall that an officer approves before anything appears.

Certificates and documents

Printable membership certificates and supporting documents generated from the record, so the paperwork matches the system.

Controls

The boring parts that keep an organisation clean

Membership systems get abused in predictable ways. The checks below exist because each one was a real problem first.

  • One account per person. Duplicate registrations on the same phone number are blocked at signup.
  • Beneficiary duplicate guard. A person cannot be an active beneficiary under two members at the same time.
  • Effectivity dates. Status starts on a defined date and the system holds it, rather than an officer remembering.
  • Moderation before publishing. Member uploads and posts need approval.
  • Admin audit log. Every administrative change is recorded against the user who made it.

What this product is, and what it is not

It is
Administration software licensed to an organisation, so that organisation can keep accurate records of its own members, contributions and assistance.
It is not
An insurance product, an investment, or a fund operated by Ascendryx. We do not hold member money, decide assistance, or promise any outcome. Those belong to the organisation and to its regulator.

Run a membership organisation

Tell us how your group is structured, how contributions are collected and how assistance is decided. We will show you the parts that already fit and be clear about the parts that would need building.
